I have been to three of the locations and all of the restaurants are very similar in design and the food is all good. My son had his 6th birthday party at this restaurant. The kids got to play with the dough and make their own pizzas to eat. They had a great time. This establishment is an outstanding Baton Rouge Italian Restaurant. It's a nice place to take the family. They have very generous portions for their pasta dishes. We love to get the stuffed mushrooms. Their mushrooms are my absolute favorite. They have other dishes like lasagna and spaghetti and meat balls for the kids too. The food is excellent. We went there last night (7-23-06) and it was great. My wife and I agreed that their spinach and artichoke dip was perhaps one of the best we've had. It's served with little pieces of bread instead of tortilla chips. That's usually our favorite appetizer and we like to compare the different dips. The nice waiter brought us out some warm bread which we all quickly devoured. I ordered a blackened chicken pene pasta dish. The kids got little pizzas and my wife got a burger for some strange reason. Anyway, we ate well and left the place quite stuffed. *** Ruffino's Italian Restaurant 18811 Highland Road Baton Rouge, LA 70809 (225) 753-3458 **I have now been to this place twice. We just recently dined their together for our 11th wedding anniversary. The waiter was excellent and brought over our desert served in a dish on top of a platter that had "Happy 11th Anniversary" written upon it with some type of colored syrup. It is very elegant and more of a fine dining atmosphere. My wife's nursing organization often has meetings here too. I'd day that Ruffino's is definitely one of the better restaurants in town.
